As the year winds down here in Boulder, Colorado, I find myself pausing to reflect on everything that’s unfolded both in the studio and beyond. 2025 has been an exciting and deeply rewarding year—a season marked by inspiring projects, meaningful personal moments, and plenty of growth.
In this post, I want to share a look back at the professional highlights that shaped our design journey, as well as the personal experiences that made this year so special.
Key Projects & Accomplishments
We kicked off 2025 with several new builds and remodeling projects, and now we’re wrapping up with a wave of furnishing projects that bring everything beautifully full circle. While most of our work has been centered around Boulder, we’ve also had the pleasure of designing in Clark, Colorado, and Knoxville, Tennessee.
Across all these projects, a clear trend emerged: warmth and simplicity. Clean lines balanced by natural textures and layered, livable comfort have been at the heart of our designs. It’s been a joy to guide clients through the thousands of decisions that go into creating a home that feels just right. Their excitement—and sometimes surprise—at our ideas keeps us inspired.
Behind the scenes, I want to give a special shout-out to Dawn Marie, my executive assistant, who celebrated three years with us this year. Her steady support, incredible organization, and efficient management of details have been instrumental in keeping our studio running smoothly. I truly couldn’t do what I do without her.
We were honored to be recognized again as one of Colorado Homes & Lifestyles’ Top Interior Designers for the third year in a row. We also had the privilege of being featured twice in Avid Lifestyles, highlighting a kitchen and laundry room renovation, and were recognized by ASID as an Impact Designer. These acknowledgments mean so much to our team and motivate us to keep pushing creative boundaries.
Personal Highlights: Life Beyond Design
On the personal front, travel has been a rich source of inspiration. From a quick trip to San Francisco—where driverless taxis and reconnecting with design friends reminded me how fast the world is evolving—to a slower, nature-filled visit to Monterey, and finally a rainy yet refreshing getaway to Costa Rica with a dear friend, each journey has recharged my creative batteries. The energy and new perspectives I gained have carried through my work all year.
Gardening, one of my favorite hobbies, admittedly took a back seat this year. Our veggie garden was a total flop—likely due to an overgrown tree stealing all the sun! Still, planting feels symbolic of any creative pursuit, and I’m looking forward to giving it another go next year, hopefully with better shade management and at least some fruit from our trees.
Family life is in a sweet spot right now. We’ve mostly moved past the all-consuming little-kid phase and are inching toward the tween and teen years. My youngest, at eight, is already giving us a preview of what’s to come. Our weekends are full with soccer, swimming, golf, and soon skiing—much to my husband’s delight at having a potential golfer in the family. While our schedule leaves little time for rest, there’s a deep joy in watching the kids discover what lights them up. Those messy, busy moments are the ones I’m most grateful for.
Looking Ahead
As 2025 comes to a close, I’m filled with gratitude—for our incredible clients who trust us with their homes, the collaborators who make each project possible, and the family and friends who keep life balanced and full. It’s been a year of growth, creativity, and connection, and I’m genuinely excited to see what the next one brings.
Thank you for following along, for your support, and for being part of this community that continues to inspire me daily.
