I was invited to a presentation from Whirlpool and Kitchenaid. They have some new appliance offerings available that I wanted to share. The first is a over-the-range microwave. The height is much smaller than your typical unit providing more space for the cook making this a great option for remodels, especially in NYC. But don’t worry, you can still warm up your grande coffee in there! The depth is also a bit deeper to capture more grease and smoke. It is pictured below.
There is also a new finish coming out…Sunset Bronze. It is stainless steel with copper baked into it giving it what I would consider a rose gold color. Below is a picture of a dishwasher in Sunset Bronze with a Stainless Steel range next to it. Yes, it’s a little pink…I’m torn on this color. While this is very cutting edge now, how will we feel about it in 15 years? I’m thinking that avocado appliance in my grandparent’s house! But everything has a place and I would love to use this somewhere in a warm wood kitchen.
