NoBo | A 1970s Knockout

Location: Boulder | Date: Renovation Completed May 2018; Interior Completed by spring 2020

Design story: The 1970s called… and they want their pink seashell sinks back. For this complete gut renovation, we stripped this dark and dated relic down to its studs, replacing electrical and plumbing, to create an open and airy family home in Boulder, CO. The home now features a neutral color palette filled with natural light and pops of color throughout. Walls were opened up and the ceiling in the family room was vaulted for unexpected drama. A closet and laundry room were also combined to create an ample mudroom for a family of five to land when they arrived home.

Most of the rooms on the second floor retained their original layout, however a second bedroom and master suite were reconfigured. And the entire yard was re-landscaped to provide better drainage as well as plenty of room for the kids to explore.
