Our Top Picks for a Casual & Comfortable Guest Bedroom

The holiday season is upon us and it’s a great time to walk through your guest rooms to make sure your incoming guests feel comfortable and can manage, as much as possible, themselves. No need to rush blankets to them right before bed! Below, I’ve included some fun finds to give you inspiration to welcome your guests this fall…

Bedside Lighting

Having a nice reading light allows guests to lounge in bed longer to read that great new book they picked up. Bedside lighting also allows for different levels of lighting. Or if they are arriving on a late flight, walking into a softly lit room is better than illuminating the whole room. Find yours here.

Water decanter

This is a must for me! Having water easily available by the bedside is key in our dry Colorado winters. Grab yours here.

Additional Seating

A bench is a great option for a guest bedroom as it provides a spot to sit and also a spot to put a suitcase or lay out clothes. Guests will throw their suitcases here to unpack so if you don’t want your bench to get marked up by a dirty suitcase, provide an easy collapsible luggage rack that you can store in the closet. Make it yours here.

Warm Throw Blanket

I love having a throw at the end of the bed for additional warmth or reading in that cozy chair. This one has some fun details and is made of cotton instead of all the poly fuzzy ones out there! Get yours here.

Full-Length Mirror

It’s always nice to have a full-length mirror accessible for getting ready.  It can also make the room appear larger or reflect light into the room if placed correctly. Purchase yours here.

Additionally, I like to curate a little basket of things that might be needed in the bedroom and bathroom. In the bedroom, I’ll include chapstick, earplugs (I have kids), hand lotion and a few books. In the bathroom I like to have a spot to put extras they may have forgotten like toothbrushes, floss, small shampoos, etc.
